Focused Energy Cooking looked to develop a design language for their new quick cook oven with groundbreaking technology far greater than a conventional microwave. With this new technology, sous vide quality food can be quickly made for casual or fine dining.
The design strategy focused on solving the problem of the microwave as a lesser sibling to the oven and stove and focused on two key objectives; Design a device to be used as an integral part of a chef’s (home or professional) cooking arsenal instead of an alternative. Second, convey an innovative, premium impression that could be easily adopted by everyday cooks to entrust entire multi course meals to a singular device.
