A new product design can be a scary and risky prospect, but it doesn’t have to be. In the design process, a new product doesn’t have to be totally finished and ready for store shelves before it can be analyzed and tested for effectiveness. In fact, testing can be done at many different stages of the design process. This is where prototyping comes in. Prototyping creates a quick, user-friendly representation of the new design that can be assessed long before the final product is complete.
How Does It Work?
StudioRed’s prototyping machinery can create complex prototypes, photorealistic models, and high-tolerance parts with a very quick turn-around time. This allows our clients to test the product so that planning schedules can be modified and real-time engineering will be developed appropriately. By molding fiberglass and rubber, StudioRed can produce hundreds of prototypes before the actual manufacturing process begins, and these prototypes can be made with any desired color, texture graphics, or features that will closely follow the features of the actual product.
How Does This Benefit You?
The benefits of this process should be obvious. This eliminates a great deal of the risk involved in the design process and greatly improves your return on investment. When you can see up front what the product is going to look like and feel like, you’ll know in advances if any changes or modifications need to be made. This may also allow for consumer testing, at least in a very limited capacity since the final product wouldn’t be totally finished. It would allow you to assess consumer preferences for a new look or feel of the design.
Prototyping is just one of the many services offered by StudioRed that help take the risk out of your design process and put guaranteed satisfaction back into it.
