Dr. William New, Jr., M.D., Ph.D., also known as Bill, Co-founded Adigy Corporation and serves as its Chairman and Chief Marketing Officer. Dr. New serves as a Venture Partner at The Aurora Funds, Inc., Aurora Ventures IV, L.L.C. Aurora Ventures V, L.P. He serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Novent Group. He is an Associate Dean for Bioengineering at Oregon Graduate Institute at Oregon Health & Science University. He founded Natus Medical Inc. and served as its Chief Technology Officer from 1987 to December 2002. Dr. New has more than 40 years of experience, encompassing careers as an engineer, physician, entrepreneur and educator. In 1981, Dr. New Founded and served as the Chairman of Nellcor Incorporated. Dr. New served as Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the Duke University Medical Center from 1994 to 1998. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Natus Medical Inc. since 1987. He serves as a Trustee at Groton School. He serves as Director of Thetus Corporation. He served as a Director of Natus Medical Inc. from 1987 to December 2004. He serves as an Associate Dean for Bioengineering, Oregon Graduate Institute, at Oregon Health & Sciences University. He served as a Stanford anesthesiologist and inventor of a widely used patient-monitoring technology. Prior to pursuing his entrepreneurial endeavors, he spent 25 years as a Clinical Associate Professor for the Department of Anesthesia at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. New served as a Member of the clinical anesthesia faculty at Stanford University Medical Center from 1975 to August 2000. He also served for 12 years as an Electronic and Development Engineer. Dr. New holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Management from Stanford University, a Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University and a Doctorate degree in Physiology from the University of California at Los Angeles.
