The Allen Company, the leader in soft firearm cases, wished to revitalize sales in the low cost soft case market with new offerings. The task was to create an exciting new look while meeting targeted production costs. Creating a case that was easy to open and could both carry and protect rifles with and without scopes was a top priority.
Purchaser appeal was another major factor. While the majority of case users are men, a large number are purchased for them by women as gifts. This dictated that the cases needed to have a broad appeal.
