When Panamax, one of the country's pre-eminent makers of electronic and electrical protection, filtration and control products, wanted to improve its line of high end surge protecting power strips, they turned to Studio Red for an all new design that would meet their needs. The resulting PowerMax line comes in several varieties, providing 4 or 8 AC plugs, coax and phone line protection, switchable and constant on outlets, and spacing to accommodate transformer plugs.

The PowerMax’s smooth, rounded lines contrast with the typical “block” look of most power products. A highlight of the design is the metal overlay piece found on the high end models. This simple addition allows Panamax to easily and dramatically differentiate its various product lines without requiring two sets of tools and imparts the high-end tech feeling that is an important part of Panamax’s mission. Studio Red also designed a series of modular add-on units that coordinate with the Power Max. The new Panamax line has received an enthusiastic response that has generated an increase in sales.
