| Unlike traditional lead-acid or Ni-Cad batteries, the NABII uses hydrogen fuel cells in a unique way to achieve a portable power source for TV news cameras, military applications, and other applications. Studio RED created a design language for the fuel cell, camera module, and recharging station. The design of the camera module had to fit both physically and aesthetically with a wide variety of professional video cameras on the market, and creating a smaller size, providing proper thermal/ venting, and solving the ergonomics issues were all critical to the successful design solution. The Jadoo NABII provides enough power to tape a whole day of video footage without having to change your battery.
The NABII Power System was awarded Electronic Products 2006 Product of the Year and received a 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Award. |
