Cisco won Best Of Infrastructure at the 2008 InformationWeek Interop Awards. The judges stated that the Nexus 7000 "isn’t as much of a leap forward in technology as much as it’s the data center switching platform you will be using for the next 10 years. The Nexus 7000 is clearly designed to address the needs of the data center today and tomorrow."

The Best of Interop Awards are judged by a panel of editors and experts from InformationWeek Magazine. The recognize products that have made significant technological advancements. The winners in each category are those products that the judges believe have the most significant technical impact within their market and are creating a positive impact in the area of business technology.
